Appointment Calendar
The AVImarkŪ Appointment Calendar has many user-friendly options in which to make your scheduling preferences adaptable to the style of appointments best suited for your clinic.  It only takes a click to make an appointment for the selected patient, and with "drag-and-drop", it's so easy to move an appointment time. There are many other great appointment-handling functions, such as:
  • Ability to view the appointment calendar by; daily consolidated, daily by doctor, daily by room, or weekly by room
  • Ability to schedule appointments for brand new clients/patients that have not yet been entered in the system
  • Ability to print patient charts for all appointments for the day
  • Easily identifiable confirmed appointments
  • Identification of cancelled, no-show or kept appointments
  • Ability to block off increments of time for days off, surgeries, lunch etc
  • Navigating to and from particular dates
  • In one step can print out chart of all pets with appointments

Boarding Calendar
The AVImarkŪ Boarding Calendar was designed to keep boarders and hospitalized patients organized and prevent over-booking. Making reservations and moving patients between facilities and dates is just a drag-and-drop away. Multiple occupancy, hospitalization, census, feeding and exercise schedules, boarding memos, and many other features make the AVImarkŪ Boarding Calendar an invaluable operating tool.
 
  • Create reservations for boarders or hospitalized patients
  • Set up available cages with weight limits for each cage
  • Can automatically charge for boarded or hospitalized pets with or without checkout times
  • View the number of vacancies that are available for any given day to prevent overbooking

Client Information Display
The Client Information Display (CID) is, by far, the most significant reason why veterinary clinics prefer the AVImarkŪ program. The format of the CID screen is efficient and easy to understand.  In this window you are able to view and access information about the client, their patients and medical history. This design is intuitive, easy to learn and operates efficiently. Your staff will waste no time "looking around" for features hidden in layer after layer of windows, menus, etc.

Estimates

AVImark lets you set up any number of "canned" (pre-configured) estimates to be selected for any patient, at any time, in the future. At any time, you have the ability to either select any of these pre-defined estimates for a patient, or modify them in any manner to suit the particular client/patient's needs. You may also create any number of ad-hoc, on-the-fly estimates for any patient and link these with any Microsoft Word document as your personalized hospital estimate policy statement. In other words, any estimate may be linked with any particular document.

Image Capturing
With AVImarkŪ, you may attach a digitally captured image to any client, patient, treatment, inventory item or medical history entry. Typically, you would capture the image using a digital camera or scanner. These images, once attached to a patient or medical history entry, may be printed on the client invoice or merged into a Microsoft Word document.  Photos can be saved on clients, patients and medical history entries or directly on a treatment, item or diagnosis.  Compare before and after photos of a medical condition.

Information Search
AVImark lets you search your records for groups of clients and/or patients that fill certain qualifications. Searches may be set up for multiple categories of information (client, patient, accounting and medical history information), multiple values within each category, multiple and/or relationships and you may choose to have the search results as well as other information printed in user-defined search results. Common uses for the information search include:
  • Printing of newsletters to active clients.
  • New client letters.
  • Christmas cards.
  • Patient birthday cards.
  • Target marketing to homogenous groups of clients (e.g. clients who have purchased dental treatments)
  • Target marketing to homogenous groups of patients (e.g. geriatric patients or certain breeds).

Inventory Control
The AVImarkŪ inventory management system efficiently organizes information about your retail and drug inventory.  This will help in keeping accurate track of usage as inventory is dispensed or used in progress of performing medical procedures in the hospital. In addition, AVImarkŪ combines purchase order tracking and history from order creation forward. AVImarkŪ also has price and flexible cost mark-up features when orders are receipted to maintain profit margins. Other features/functions for inventory include: 
  • Controlled substance tracking
  • Keeps accurate up to the minute inventory on-hand amounts and stock values
  • Bar coding capability
  • Automatic charges for prescription fees, injection fees and handling fees

Patient Reminders
The reminder system has always been one of AVImark's premier functions. Its amazing ability to automatically remind your patients from birth to death for all treatments as they come due the first time is without parallel. You never have to "schedule" reminders again. Unique first, second and third reminders can be printed simultaneously. In addition, a detailed analysis report identifies who is due for treatments and who has responded to past reminders for you to determine the response rate to the reminders you sent.

Reports
There are nineteen built-in reports that can be generated by AVImarkŪ at any time, for any period of time you wish. For example, you may print the deposit slip (as well as any other report) for each day, week, month, or fiscal year. With AVImarkŪ, you no longer have to worry about 'closing' the month or other time consuming closing procedures. Simply request the period of time and report you would like to print.

Problem Oriented Medical Records
The Subjective/ Objective/ Assessment/ Plan (S.O.A.P) feature of AVImarkŪ (known to AVImarkŪ as the Medical Condition Record) will allow you to track specific problems that the animal is experiencing.   It will also help to track what diagnostic and therapeutic treatments & procedures are being performed to diagnose and treat the patient. Within the SOAP window you are able to select what problems the animal is experiencing, type observation notes, identify abnormalities, identify potential diagnoses and final diagnosis, and define diagnostic and treatment protocols. In addition, you have the ability to create any number of additional data fields for any one of these SOAP folders.

Treatment List
AVImarkŪ is supplied with a comprehensive treatment list, below are a few examples of how the treatment list can work for you:
  • Capability to group treatments together for a quick data entry and accuracy

  • Take home Dr.’s instructions that automatically appear on the client invoice

Full Password Protection Security
The security function is extremely flexible in allowing you to control what functions staff members can or cannot perform. The security feature is implemented through log-on passwords. AVImarkŪ can also automatically log a user out of the system after so many minutes of inactivity (to prevent another staff member from performing functions under your password). AVImarkŪ can also provide reports that show you which staff members performed certain "protected" functions, at what time, at what computer, and to which client, allowing you to track any possible malfeasance.

Whiteboard
The Whiteboard feature has greatly enhanced the way appointments, reservations, check-ins & scheduled activities are handled.  The Whiteboard is divided into three main tabs, Arriving, Check-in and Schedule.
  • Check-in the patient directly from Whiteboard
  • Monitor scheduled activities for patients who are checked-in
  • Customize the columns to display features such as:  Patient Wait Times, More Stuff, Patient Information (such as sex of patient, breed allergies age, etc), Group Services, Additional Notes, and much more
  • Print the Census List of patients checked-in
  • Attached Estimates to the Whiteboard
  • Group Activities together (ex. Create a dental whiteboard category and view all dental treatments or items scheduled for checked-in patients
  • Patients that appear in the scheduled tab are associated with specific colors:  Red is due now or past due, Blue means you are highlighted on that entry, Black means due in the future and Grey is marked as completed
