<p>Our backups have started having a *.z01 suffix this month.  Tried to restore to an off-site computer, and it wouldn't go.  Ideas on how to revert to *.zip format?</p>

What are you backing up to, and do you get any messages about inserting another disk?  The .z01 file format is usually whenever zip files span across multiple disks.  Try backing up directly to your C drive to see if it creates a .zip file.
