I have a single workstation that is very slow to load Avimark. The login screen for the program comes up quickly and the network usage meter in Task Manager shows that the station looks to have good connectivity. After the login screen the McAllister Payment Solutions logo flashes and then it takes a solid 15 count for the program to come up. During this time the Payment Solutions process MPS.exe is utilizing most of the cpu and Network usage meter drops to zero. On all other workstations, the program comes up almost immediately after entering the login code.
Things I've checked:
Patch cable has been replaced with new cable, no change.
Port on the network router was swapped, no change.
Firewall has been turned off, no change.
Logged in as administrator, no change.
No apparent problems shown in dcdiag test.
Workstation is running XP SP3 and the computer is only a month or two old. The server is also fairly new and running Server 2003 R2 SP2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
