First of let, let me say that I LOVE being able to color code appointments!
That being said, I am afraid I have a minor complaint. If the colored appointments overlap with a block off (i.e. our surgery block off time), the color changes to an almost unreadable shade.
I was thinking it would be nice if the color remained similar when kept or overlapped.
For instance, we use a pale shade of orange for surgeries. When placed on the surgery time block off, it turns obnoxiously bright, and when kept, it changes to a navy blue (which you can barely read).
That's my only issue with this update so far, which is actually pretty good
Thank you. |

Terina,
The navy blue color comes from the Block-off Overlap color. You can change this to any color you would like by going to Advanced Options (wrench icon,) typing color in the Search field, clicking on Block-off Overlap, clicking Change, and selecting the color of your choice.
Keeping the color similar and just slightly modifying the hue would be an interesting idea for consideration. |

Re 2010.4
A feature of this release was that changes made to whiteboard columns would be saved and persist after the update. When we moved from 2010.1 to 2010.4, however, our whiteboard customizations were not saved. That meant we had to reset the whiteboard columns on 12 workstations. |

How do you get the client rating indicators to show up above the client name. I had seen that on a webinar the other day, but they didn't talk about setting it up with the new version. I have downloaded the new one. |

You need to go under the miscellaneous tab in Hospital Setup and check the box that says "Monitor Client Quality". |

9932: I am looking into the columns not holding. Have you recently added new users for Windows, or have they remained the same?
Becky: To get the client ratings, you will need to get the newest version of the RatingClients utility, by going to Utilities, Update AVImark, clicking Next, clicking Download Utility, typing RATINGCLIENTS2008.ZIP, clicking Next, and clicking Download (It will close AVImark, but you do not need anyone else out of the program while it downloads.) Continue by going into Advanced Options (wrench icon,) typing Monitor, clicking on Monitor Client Quality, clicking Change on the Default Value, setting it to True, clicking OK, clicking Done, and closing AVImark. The next time AVImark is opened, the RatingClients utility will run, and it will run every eleven days afterwards. |

I have done that. Maybe I'm asking about the wrong thing. On the screen above the client name there are stars, and a number. I can't get that to show up. I have changed th monitor value to true on the server, and it still doesn't show up. I have the newest version downloaded already. |

Becky,
In your AVImark folder, do you have a RatingClients.exe? If you do, right-click Properties, and what is the Created Date and Modified Date? The updates do not include this utility, so it is possible that you need to download the Ratingclients2008.zip file to get the client qualities to show up. |

We have not added any new users for Windows. |

We have a utility program that can correct the column customization on your workstations with minimal effort on your part. It does need to be ran on each workstation, but if you customized several windows, it would save a lot of time. If you call tech support when you have time to work on it and let them know you need to use the "Updatecustomizations" utility, they should be able to get your columns back. |

Jeremy,
Is there a way you can make a thread or subforum dedicated to utilities? I find that there are a lot of utilities that we could use, and I'm not even aware of them. |

Terina,
A lot of our utilities could cause major issues if ran improperly, and I am wary of putting a list of them on the forums because there is a lot of potential harm that could come of it. All of the utilities are designed for a few specific purposes ranging from changing codes everywhere in the system to adjusting a doctor’s ID, and even removing “all” of a variety of things. We, in tech support, often make a backup of our play data when testing utilities to safeguard against one errant checkbox causing irreparable (without a backup) damage. Any time you have a specific thing you need to do on a big scale, we probably have a utility to help with it, but it really is best to ask on those individual scenarios and tech support can help you run them after-making a backup |

'We have a utility program that can correct the column customization'
Would this be run just once per workstation, such that column customizations would not have to be re-done on each workstation after each update? And does this mean that the previous announcement that this release fixed the problem is not correct? |

Yes, this would be done just once per workstation. With this update, it changed how registry keys for customizations were stored and copied over the highest version's stored column customization into the new key which will no longer store by version eliminating the need to use this utility more than once. For a small percentage that downloaded a beta version that did not yet contain the column fix but would have the highest version number, the utility is necessary. Going forward, because the keys are stored in a universal place, the problem is resolved. |

Gaah! I would have thought that the beta was the previous release + enhancements. |

It is, but unfortunately, if the Beta did not have the column customization fix in it yet, it could have caused the malfunction you experienced. During a Beta, there are several things being tested, updated, and changed when found to need small tweaks. For example, the Harmonized Sales Tax required by some provinces in Canada is fully working and available in the current Beta, but there are still some pending changes before the release is official, which is why most Beta users download several Beta versions per each Beta cycle. |

I've found an odd thing with the Searches in 2010.4. In my Saved Searches, Report Criteria, some of the Searches have blank Report Fields. When I print these Searches, these blank fields print out two characters which happen to be the first two characters of the client first name for the first blank Report Field, the client last name for the second blank Report Field. If you delete these blank fields, then the Reports print correctly. |
