Hi, if a receptionist tries to print a spay certificate (right-click, Document) and enters 3 copies, AVImark sends at least 10 to the printer!

Any ideas why? We use a Brother laser printer that works fine for everything else, and OpenOffice.

Thanks,

Richard

Richard,

This is an issue with OpenOffice http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=88333. It may be corrected on the latest version, but the latest version had other API changes that make our merge words not work. For now, if you enter 2, you will get 4 copies of the certificate which would be faster than printing it 3 times while only wasting 1 copy.

Any of the merge words used on the document would print the merge word instead of the information that should be merged on the current version of Open Office. For example, <animal> would normally insert the patient's name, Fluffy, for example. And <first-name> <last-name> would insert the client's first and last name, Jeremy Bennett, for example. Instead it would print on the latest version of Open Office (3.2 I believe,) <first-name> <last-name> and <animal> which would make all of the MS Word documents like the Rabies, Estimate, and Spay documents very useless.
