The past few months we've been experiencing situations where NOTES are being switched with other NOTES, and always between patients/clients. For example: notes will be entered under a line item, then later we'll find that those notes are gone and it now says something completely different. Sometimes it will be replaced with notes from another cats upcoming appt box, other times it will be replaced with notes from some other cat/clients medical hx section. We can find no coloration as to why this happens, and obviously we cannot practice safely/smartly, and rely on Avimark, if it keeps changing our information. Tech support suggested we rebuild our indexes, which we did, but it keeps happening. Has anyone out there experienced this? And if so, what was the solution? We are using version 2010 and this problem started before the upgrade. |

Laura,
Can you tell me a little bit more about your network setup? What operating systems are you using on the workstations and on the server? Also, have you adjusted the recommended Windows Settings on each computer at the clinic http://www.avimark.net/images/stories/documents/Recently%20updated/AVImark%20Windows%20Settings.pdf (will open a PDF.) Also, the technician that had you rebuild should have given you contact information in case that did not fix the issue you are having. So, I encourage you to give them a call back and let them know that the rebuild did not correct your issue, and they can help you check the setup and settings of your workstations to try and determine what could be causing the issue. |

Thanks Jeremy.
We have Windows 7 on our server as well as all our workstations. We have a dedicated server, 3 desktops and 2 wireless laptops. One support tech person had me check one of the settings you referred to, but not all the others. As for contacting someone back to tell them it didn't work, I have, but we haven't been able to spend time talking about the next step. Thought that posting on here would be another outlet. |

Laura,
It sounds like you have a very nice new computer setup in the hospital. The best thing to do at this point would be to speak with the technician as soon as you have time to spend on the phone. It may end up going to our Software/Hardware Support if it is not something the technician you have been speaking with can find. The forums are good for a lot of answers, but this is one that in depth checking and troubleshooting will likely be required, and the phone is far superior for that. |
