I support a client who uses Avimark. They have a frequent recurring issue that we would lik eto figure out. When a user is entering charges to a client, the charges will disappear from the screen. The only way we can get the charges to reappear is to rebuild indexes. This creates a problem if it happens early in the day as we must have all users exit Avimark to rebuild indexes. The rebuild can take a while which also creates a problem for work flow.

1)Has anyone else encountered this issue?
2)What could be possible causes of this issue?

This issue has been happening for a while, before we started supporting the client. Since we have been supporting them we have installed a new server, and most recently updated Avimark to 2010.

In support, we have encountered rare instances of missing data and can usually track it down with your help to a computer or network setting. An example of one setting to check would be Write-behind Caching on the disc properties. It and several other settings that can be made to improve AVImark's performance are gone through in detail on our AVImark Windows Settings guide found at http://www.avimark.net/images/stories/documents/Recently%20updated/AVImark%20Windows%20Settings.pdf (will open a PDF file.) I would adjust the recommended settings on all computers, and if the problems still persist, give technical support a call at 1-877-838-9273 for assistance troubleshooting other possible causes.

I just checked our settings and we have write caching enabled - but we have never encountered this problem.
