Associating items is handled a little differently than associated treatments. The treatments are placed into medical history alongside the original treatment, but the linked items are placed on the original treatment in an area called Inventory Used. In the Associated Treatments/Items window, you can designate Allow Override and Print on Invoice. Checking Allow Override will cause the Inventory Used window to come up when the treatment is entered into medical history (good for items’ whose quantity will vary each time the treatment is given.) Checking the Print on Invoice will show the item without a price under the treatment on the invoice.
Also, if you want to surcharge based on the Item Cost or Item Price, you can use + or & Action Codes to accomplish this.
If you want both the linked treatments and linked items to display in history, then it would be best to look into Treatment Groups which can be used in a lot of different ways and probably worth reviewing the Help topic or giving support a call to set a group up if you have not set one up before. |
