	VetTux New User Joined: 05-25-2011 00:44:47 Posts: 2 Location:  Are clients "locked" into AviMark or is there an option to export their data so they can migrate away from AviMark if desired ? We have several clients wanting to change from AviMark to other clinic management systems that use a more open standard for data storage such as SQL. Thanks IP Logged

	Charles McAllister - AVImark User Joined: 12-03-2009 08:31:46 Posts: 12 Location:  Sorry no one got back to you. There are several ways to export data out of AVImark. Also, there is a Microsoft SQL version of the software that is in beta testing in veterinary hospitals right now. The testing is going very well but we are not releasing it out of beta until we feel we've reached a high level of performance and reliability. If you would like to be on the SQL beta program, please call our tech support and ask to speak to Damon King. As for exporting data, one way to do that is to go to "work with" then "information search" then create a new information search, select the fields you would like on the report, then after running the search click on "results" then "export..." then enter a file name with extension DBF and it will export the data to a friendly DBF file format.
