Time,
I apologize for not getting to the post in a timely manner. I'm glad you were able to get the issue resolved.
1. In addition to the settings you made, I would review the options on
http://www.avimark.net/images/stories/documents/Recently%20updated/AVImark%20Settings%20for%20Windows.pdf (will open a PDF file with our recommended Windows' settings.) They could further improve your performance.
2. This is covered in our document above, but I think you also fixed it with what you did in the Intranet/Sites area.
3. We use client/server in the office for over 70 computers, and it dramatically improved speed in many areas. I have been to a handful of clinics experiencing issues with slowness, turned it on, and had people extremely happy with the speed increase. I recommend it to anyone that has the slightest bit of issues with speed, and the client/server technology is continually allowing some nice enhancements to be added: for example, a smart auto-refresh that refreshes areas more quickly if more than one person has the area open, especially useful for Whiteboard.
4. For a set up as like yours, I would expect from double-click to login screen to be less than 6 seconds and login to loaded CID to vary a little bit by the client, but overall be another 6-8 seconds. I know I can get into our system with a large client up on the screen from double-click to logged in (including typing my 5 digit password) in about 10-12 seconds, but we are running client/server, so it may add a few seconds not using client/server.
**Anti-virus and firewalls could also play a part in increasing the login time, but it sounds like you have already tested to make sure the anti-virus was not interfering.
