Curious to see how others have this set up...I currently bill out routine surgeries as a treatment group so that the client can see the items separately and we can see them in the Med Hx. The problem is it makes the invoice very cluttered and confusing when they see all the charges itemized then a big discount at the bottom as it is re-priced to the actual price charged. Is there a cleaner way to do this? I could just have a one line ie immature cat spay $XXX but I like people to see what goes into each procedure - it's the way Avimark does the billing in a treatment group I don't like. |

Did anyone ever help you with this problem? I have the same issue and would love to know how others handle it! Thanks. In our old software, if would print the price out as just $0 and the Spay price, for instance, would be a lot easier to see. Yet, they could still see the itemization. |

As much as I love the program overall, I HATE HATE HATE the way Avimark does treatment groups. I have no use for them.
My workaround was making a code for the group I wanted, i.e. Canine dental group, and adding associated entries to that code. Not ideal, but it works.
I think treatment groups should have one price, and all the tagalongs should be zero. The program doesn't allow this, as far as I know. |

Personally I like the group settings. I like that each code you use is itemized out and shows how much the "normal" price is and shows how much of a discount they are getting by getting the treatments all together. My work around for listing treatments without prices is to add them in the treatment comments and make the comments print on the invoice. |

If this hasn't been solved yet, you can create each on as a Discount Plan. That's how
we do ours. It give you the ability to have a "Package" with the total price and then
set what you want included in it. This way the package name is displayed in both the
medical history and on the invoice. then everything linked to it is either free, or based on the discount rate you applied to it. As for the invoice, in Hospital set up under invoice, you can select
if you want all the discounts printed on the clients copy or not to control what prices they
see.
Hope that kinda helps. |

Thank you all for your input. After a long discussion with tech support we figured out a
way to achieve my goal. I created a new treatment group ie Canine Castration and gave it
the price I wanted. I linked it to the old treatment group name and zero'd out that
price so now the all the components come up on the invoice but they are all zero and only
the final price is displayed. I also had to change a couple settings under the "wrench"
toolbar in regards to discounting - the tech people can help with those. It works well
and I'm happy with the presentation. The only thing I had to accept was that any
discounting is not reflected on the invoice ie people won't know if I give a discount so..
...I don't give any discounts! Problem solved. |

Thank you, Janice! That way actually will work great for us. I do love the groups and links on AVimark. It is far superior, in my opinion, to either Cornerstone or Elinc VIA, both of which we have used in the past. Now, I can overcome the one problem I have with the groups. And, I love your solution to the clients not seeing the discount on the invoice - just don't discount! |

Hey guys,
Sorry I missed this great thread while I was at NAVC. We are looking into adding an option in the Associated Entries area to "Charge 0.00 for all Associated Entries" to handle these kinds of scenarios with one extra click instead of having to modify several things.
We do not have an exact timeline for this yet, but I will update here when we do. |

I ended up making estimates and setting most of the prices to zero. It has worked really well for us.
I do like the idea of a "Charge zero for all associated entries". |
