I am wondering if there is a way to turn off the area code override in the client
information area. Every time we change anything in the Clients information area that
pertains to their address of phone number it automatically overrides the phone number
area code. Even though this is not vital it does become quite annoying.

Hi,

Yes, there is an Advanced Option to turn this feature off. Go to Advanced Options (wrench icon,) type Area, click on Auto-assign Area Code by Zip Code, click Change on the Default Value, set it to False, click OK, and click Done.

When I type area in the advanced options I am only offered Always dial area code or Area Code. I have tried changing Area Code to false but it did not stop the Auto-assign so I changed it back to 0.

It is a newer option; if you go to Help, About AVImark, which version are you on? The feature was added in version 2010.5 late last year.
