Hi,

I am an IT technician for a Veterinarian. It is a small practice with only one PC and no workstations.

A few weeks ago I cleaned the registry with a reputable program and performed other general PC maintenance that I have done hundreds of times with no issues.

Since that time there has been one error after another which I have been able to resolve through rebuild.

Another problem happened recently. 1) The software deleted all the cell phone numbers from the client accounts and, 2) The assistants are unable to attach lab tests to the customer bills.

Has anyone else had this problem and could someone point me in the right direction so I can provide a fix?

Any suggestions are sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

We do not recommend running any type of registry cleaning software. It has been our experience they usually do more harm than good. Your post says you were able to rebuild and correct the errors caused by the program, are they all corrected?
With your cell phone number, were they attached in the client area? If that is, the case and you have already rebuilt index’s AVImark does not have any automated way to remove cell phone numbers without specific procedure. This procedure requires the use of a utility program has anyone ran anything like this?
With your lab results, can you tell me how they attach them? What lab machine or lab reporting company does the clinic use?

The rebuild corrected the errors temporarily and then they seem to have resurfaced.

The cell phone numbers were attached in the client area.

The clinic does not use a lab reporting company. It is a small clinic with only one PC.

Any hint in the right direction would be appreciated.

What are the rebuild errors? With the cell phone numbers, if you have already rebuilt the clinet record index the next best step would be to call support and have them walk you through send in a backup.
In regards to the lab results, is the clinic using the more stuff feature of AVImark, file attachments or?
