You should be able to right-click on a category and select, "markup". A window will pop up where you can set specific calculations, roundups, etc. |

We really don't appreciate Avimark software dictating to us what kind of printers we have to buy.
Different businesses have different needs and especially when it comes to printers, there are a lot of factors to consider (cost per page, maintenance cycle, size of the machine, noise-level, etc.). It just really irks me that I don't get to choose the printers I WANT because Avimark has the drivers built into their software. Ironically my husband's body-shop estimating software does exactly the same thing (forcing them to use crummy Dymo label-printers that they HATE) - I guess this is the new marketing strategy of printer-companies, to team up with software companies to force people to buy their products whether they like them or not. Well FYI as a consumer that I DON'T appreciate it.
Our practice has found the Dymo label printers to be, well "cheap" frankly. Just the action of the label-roll pulling through the guides causes the guides to move apart, either causing a "jam" or causing a bunch of "blanks" come spitting out at you. When we remove the cover to re-load the label roll, half the time the whole front part of the label-printer comes off in your hand revealing the green electronics "board" underneath it. The entire casing of the machine is really "cheap plastic." We are a large high-volume practice and just really don't have the time to keep messing around with these crummy things. I did call Dymo to try to see if they have anything any more heavy-duty that would run off the same drivers, but they said no, these were the ones we have to use.
The cost-per-page of the HP printers is very high compared to similar machines made by other companies, and their printers also make a lot of noise.
Avimark: Please allow your clients to select the printer that they choose and that best meets the needs of their business. Please don't "force" us to get something we hate, just because we have your software.

Reminders - E-mail vs. Non-email
I would like to be able to differentiate in the reminder analysis between those with e-mail and those without. As no e-mail address prints out on the analysis, there is not an obvious way to do this. I have heard that you can do a specialized search to rule out those with e-mail. Can someone PLEASE help? Thanks!  |

Is there a way to e-mail a message to all of the clients in Avimark that are non-reminders? For example, something informing all the clients about an event or something in the news? |

I think I have asked this before, but is there a way to link more than one e-mail address in Avimark? For instance, doctors and team members?
I noticed in the "Send E-mail" window, there is a drop down menu next to our hospital name. |

Since making the change in regional settings, did you close AVImark and reopen it?
If you have and it still is showing incorrectly, go to Work With, Hospital Setup, click on the System tab, and is Use Windows Date Format MM/DD/YYYY checked or unchecked? |

I was just on phone with support.
I was told to go to regional settings through control panel.
I have done that and it shows 09/02/2012 the way it is suppose to be but in AVIMark it is 02/09/2012

All systems read month/day/year
The odd ball reads

I ended up making estimates and setting most of the prices to zero. It has worked really well for us.
I do like the idea of a "Charge zero for all associated entries". |

Thanks! I am glad it is working for you now. I looked over our documentation, and it looks like we did have an issue where it said to use the username of fullemailaddress without the @gmail.com. I submitted a correction for that portion, so if you ever need to set it up again, techs should have the correct information to go on. |

I have to admit that I'm not overly impressed with VetStreet, so far.
Can you tell me if there are any reminder services that would update this field? Would the basic or community packages of Petwise update the field if they sent e-mail reminders? |

What about hover text (where you hold your cursor on Phone/Email and it then brings up the yellow box with all of the information)? We have a lot of good feedback on this, but the key is to hone it in just right, so it makes the majority happy. Unfortunately, no timeline is available yet for this feature(s). |

Oh, I forgot about the photo. We don't use that feature as much as we should.
Although, I believe you could still fit a photo and more fields if you moved the attachment panels to where they are for everything else. If you think about it, a photo is about the same size as the more stuff panel when you click the option to show that.
Personally, I like Avimark maximized, and view as much as I can on one screen.
Another option would be to make each contact field(such as phone 1, phone 2, and e-mail) as a "Drop-down", and you could click on the button to see more numbers and names. Not sure if that could even be done, but just a thought :- ) |

Just to let you guys know, the DEA number merge word has been implemented with 2011.3.8.0. It is <[History-Doctor-DEA]> and can be used on any MS Word document printed from medical history. |

Unfortunately, because VetStreet is not a partner with us, they pull the data but do not write back to the tables which would update the Last Reminded field. I can check with our Business Development team to see if there are any plans to change this, but I have not heard of any recently. |

But, what about the patient photo? 
That is not a bad idea at all though. Do you generally work with AVImark maximized, resized floating around, or as small as you can make it? Also, what size and resolution monitors do you and the staff use at the hospital? |

Jeremy,
What about merging the Attachments field on the CID (Accounting, More Stuff, Notes, Referrals) with the Attachments on the lower right hand side (the one that changes depending on if you are in patient or medical history view?)
So whether you are clicked on the client, patient, or medical history, you can access the corresponding Attachments section on the lower right area of the screen.
That would clear up some space for several more fields in the client section of the CID.
Just a thought. |
