Topic : Is it possible to add a doctors electronic signature to documents?

Hello,

We were wondering if it's possible to add electronic signatures that we took from the doctors into our documents? We are a small animal practice with three doctors.

We already have the signatures on the computer, we just need to know how to import them into Avimark. We have them as png files.

Thanks for any information.

Topic : Linux compatible version

Just an update. 3 months as a near total Linux / avimark clinic, and we are still alive and well
Would be really nice to see either Avimark, or a partner adjunct venture IT person pick up on this.
Potential huge economic impact for users I just dont have the time to start a new business.

Would also be interesting to test it with some of the partner services..

It does state the vaccine, but not if it is for a 1 year or a 3 year or even a 3 week vaccine. So when we put in a vaccine history under a patient it does not clearly state the complete name. When it shows up on the reminder list on the right side of the CID display. Of course now it seems to be working for the distemper and the rabies but not the Lyme or the felv. Any thoughts?

ant easy way to print out the entire reminder list and due dates for a single client. have an owner with 20+ sporting dogs that would like to get a monthly list of who is due for what vaccines and procedures.

Scott,

Try this search:

search [Client] code 'M$JSB014' name 'Preferred Doctor Search'
category 'McAllister Software' (
[Client-Doctor ID] is not blank
) report (
[Client-Account] summary (count),
[Client-Doctor ID]
) sort by (1 ascending) summarize by sort order

If you want to get a list of individual accounts on doctors, you can click Setup on the Report Criteria tab, click on Subtotal instead of Summarize, and rerun the report.

Also, if the numbers are extremely high and you would like to clear them, we have a utility program that can change those clients to have no preferred doctor.

Windows Server 2012 supports pretty much anything that can run under Windows 7. I recently ran AVImark version 179 (year 2006) on Server 2012 with no significant issues. I ran it long enough to update to the latest version.

To migrate to Server 2012, you basically just copy and paste your c:\AVImark folder to the new server. I stuffed my server away so that no one can touch it and I do not allow users to actually run AVImark on the server.

There were no issues with the migration that were related to the OS.

Hi,

You can use this one and insert the doctor ids separated by commas in the search criteria tab.

search [Appointment] code 'MSJSB129' name 'Total Appointments by Day of the Week'
category 'MSS Searches' (
[Appointment-Date] is between '01-01-12' '12-31-12' and
[Appointment-Doctor ID] equals 'dr,id,here'
) report (
[Appointment-Date] datecalc day of the week,
[Appointment-Client Name] summary (count)
) sort by (0 ascending) summarize by sort order

I am wonder - can you select this to run for only specific DVMs on the scheduler? On our appointment book we have each DVM listed as well as a column for our RVT appts such as discharges and heartworm tests so that they are at the ready. It would be nice to omit these 'duplicate' visits from the count.

Great search by the way

Jenine,

It should pull the description of the reminder into the vaccination history window. Are the descriptions you use for the different vaccines the same or different?

Hi,

I spoke with the technician working with you on the attachments this morning, and she should get with you (may already have) with an updated plan of action.

We have been having issues with entering new patient vaccination history. When the box opens it shows the correct treatments for the pet but it doesn't show all of the information. For example, if I had a dog that I was entering in information and it has already had a 1 year Rabies vaccine done elsewhere. When I look at the screen it shows 2 options for rabies. It does not show the difference between the 1 year and the 3 year. Is there a way to go in and change the wording so that it is easier to put in the correct previous vaccine history? Thanks.

Topic : For Jeremy if possible - Moved to new server, attachment issues

Hi Jeremy.

I've been working with support all week. I've done the organize attachments util, I've recopied all my data and reindexed, checked and rechecked all my paths, the issue still exists. Now it is getting a little worse because items attached in the client area (new client form) are being attached to other clients, when they were in the right place before.

The issue that we're seeing - is that when we review the error report after we've re-index attachments, we can clearly see that some attachments have the old server name included in the name of the file itself. For example here is one of the errors:

History File Attachment, record number 000:0, the file \\RVH01\avimark\filename. location\account number\... you get the point.

RVH01 is the name of our OLD server. It is not erroring for all files, yet all files prior to the migration are unable to be seen by avimark on the new server. Even though they are on the new server.

We are about to decommission our old server and rename the new one with the old server name to solve this problem. Before we do that I just wanted to see if you have any other thoughts because it seems like avimark support is out of ideas.

Also, if I do the server rename, I will have to make sure that anything we attached over the last week, which is all stored on the new server, can be seen by the old server name once we're done. I assume I could just copy those documents and reattach them manually if worse came to worse. It's only been a week.

Thoughts?
Thank you,
Marianne

Thanks Jeremy. One support technician mentioned that but I had to get off the phone. When I called back I got someone else who did not think I needed to do that. I will try again maybe I was just not clear enough. Thanks!

Hi,

Moving the server using attachments usually requires a utility specifically for relocating those attachments. It would be best to give our support a call at 877-838-9273 option 1 and let them know where you are at in the process, and they should be able to help you in running the utility(ies.)
