Allows veterinary practices to save time by creating and sharing information searches

 For example, if a veterinary clinic is searching for the number of times a client purchased a certain product or procedure, rather than create a new information search in AVImark, the clinic can copy a similar information search script from another clinic into its version of AVImark.  McAllister Software Systems has created a new area in its popular AVImark Forum for veterinary clinics to exchange AQL information search scripts. The forum is also linked to the AVImark Yahoo^® user group, as well as Facebook^® and YouTube^® pages.

“The veterinarians who make up the AVImark community have always done an amazing job of sharing tips and supporting each other using AVImark,” said Charles McAllister, vice president of software development at McAllister Software Systems.  “AQL script sharing will allow AVImark users to save time by sharing successful information searches with each other.”

AQL is part of a new information search feature that is available with version 2010.4 of AVImark, which was released this month.  “Our new search tool was created in response to suggestions from our veterinarian customers,” McAllister continued.  “But we took it a step further by creating AQL.  We hope this new programming script strengthens the community around AVImark further by empowering veterinary practices to both create and share a wide variety of searches.”

AVImark includes a new visual designer, or user interface, so veterinary clinics won’t need to write in AQL to create and share scripts. Instead, they can just ‘point and click’ to build the list of search conditions.
